More on Climategate - Clive Crook
The closed-mindedness of these supposed men of science, their willingness to go to any lengths to defend a preconceived message, is surprising even to me. The stink of intellectual corruption is overpowering. And, as Christopher Booker argues, this scandal is not at the margins of the politicised IPCC [Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change] process. It is not tangential to the policy prescriptions emanating from what David Henderson called the environmental policy milieu... It goes to the core of that process.Global Warming Industry Meets Reality - Wry Heat

Remember that this is not an academic exercise. We contemplate outlays of trillions of dollars to fix this supposed problem. Can I read these emails and feel that the scientists involved deserve to be trusted? No, I cannot. These people are willing to subvert the very methods--notably, peer review--that underwrite the integrity of their discipline.
It seems that there really is “Mann”-made global warming. It is made of fraud, data manipulation, collusion, squelching dissent, hiding data, deleting data, and punishing scientific journals that dared to publish papers challenging the carbon cabal. Just a few weeks later, the governor helped cut the ribbon at the opening of Evergreen Solar’s new plant in Devens, built with $58 million in state funds.C3: Greenland Ice Sheet Captures Beryllium 10 Isotopes: Evidence of Large Climate Change - It's The Sun, Stupid

But half a year later the forecast for solar’s future - not to mention the governor’s other green initiatives - is looking cloudy with an increasing chance of failure.
Earlier this month, Evergreen Solar shocked everyone by announcing it is cutting up to half of the 800 jobs at the brand-new, taxpayer-bought Devens plant and shipping them to China. Solar panel materials will still be manufactured in Massachusetts (at least for now), but they will be assembled in a locale with much cheaper costs.
The IPCC dismisses solar/cosmic influences because their marching orders are to solely blame anthropogenic reasons, namely human CO2. This is how we got a corrupted science, Climategate, and the Copenhagen boondoggle. But now, even major science organizations are expanding their climate change reasons beyond the simple CO2 hypothesis. Recently the National Center of Atmospheric Research (NCAR) changed their tune and is now producing research that points to a large solar impact.
