RealClimate: Unsettled Science: Fraudster Gavin Schmidt
Unusually, I’m in complete agreement with a recent headline on the Wall Street Journal op-ed page:

The Climate Science Isn’t Settled

Global warming--differences between questions asked and questions answered
I do not think science or humanity is served when scientists conspire to evade Freedom of Information requests because they do not like the requester. Nor are we helped when scientists pick and choose friends to review their papers--and papers from their enemies. Nor are we helped when instrument records and proxy data are mixed and matched to create the best chart. Nor when journals and journal editors are ostracized and boycotted because they allowed the publication of skeptical papers.

Defending these practices is not defending global warming and it is not defending science.
