Atlanta-based Coca-Cola (NYSE: KO) said it has spent more than $50 million in research and development to advance the use of climate-friendly cooling technologies. In 2010 alone, it and its bottling partners will buy at least 150,000 units of HFC-free equipment.
Two weeks ago, unnamed whistleblowers exposed years of e-mails from scientists working at Britain’s Climatic Research Unit (CRU).
