*Among the personal jets will be Air Force One. President Obama's £180,000 limousine, known as "The Beast", will arrive on a separate flight with a fleet of decoy helicopters, up to 500 security staff, six doctors, two chefs and his personal BlackBerry handler.
CNN Runs Report on ClimateGate, But Only Includes Guests Who Dispute ClimateGate | NewsBusters.org
On Sunday, during the 6:00 p.m. hour and again during the 7:00 p.m. hour, CNN NewsRoom, hosted by Don Lemon, ran a report by correspondent Mary Snow on ClimateGate -- which was somewhat more balanced than the piece aired on November 25 -- though this report similarly did not quote any of the emails that suggest manipulation of data on global warming by scientists at the UK's University of East Anglia. But both times after Snow's report aired, Lemon followed up by talking with a guest or reporter who disputed the credibility of ClimateGate, without interviewing any global warming skeptics.
ABC Remains Silent on ClimateGate; Claims ‘Growing Scientific Evidence’ Supports Warming Theory | NewsBusters.org
ABC’s Good Morning America maintained its blackout on ClimateGate this weekend, even as Sunday’s show carried a preview of this week’s climate summit in Copenhagen, Denmark. Reporter Clayton Sandell showcased two scientists, both of whom argued that the U.S. was failing to do enough to combat global warming, and seemed distressed that public faith in the claims of a human-caused catastrophe are on the decline in spite of “growing scientific evidence.”  [why don't they ever say "nonexistent scientific evidence?"]

Ed Miliband: climate change deniers are 'profoundly irresponsible' | Environment | guardian.co.uk
Ed Miliband, the climate change secretary, today said critics who argue that climate change is not the result of human actions are "profoundly irresponsible".

As negotiating teams from 192 countries gather in Copenhagen for the climate change summit, Miliband admitted there was "further to go" on persuading climate change sceptics here and abroad. But he defended Gordon Brown's criticism of them in the Guardian as "behind-the-times, anti-science, flat-earth climate sceptics" .

How the climate change global editorial project came about | Environment | guardian.co.uk
Anyone studying the list of newspapers behind the editorial will quickly spot one glaring gap: the absence of any first-rank US paper. A number of major US titles evinced support for the project, even conceding that they agreed with everything in the editorial, but stopped short of signing up, leaving the admirably independent-minded Miami Herald as the sole representative of the world's second biggest polluter. (Next time you're in Florida buy two copies.) It is hard not to be struck by the parallel with the Kyoto agreement when the US stood to one side as the world began to move against climate change.

2008: Canadian hunters killing narwhals trapped in ice | Reuters
While narwhals had become trapped by ice in the past, it was unusual for so many to be stuck in the same place at the same time, Pelley said. The narwhal population in the area was in good condition, he said.

It is not possible to overestimate the global significance of the next two weeks of intense negotiation.
The Sun Says | The Sun
Dire predictions about rising sea levels, devastating droughts, floods and melting polar icecaps have finally persuaded countries like America, China and India to agree that something must be done.

The horrific price of inaction is shown by the Met Office which predicts temperature rises of up to 16 degrees centigrade by the end of the century - causing global havoc.
Was Russian secret service behind leak of climate-change emails? - Europe, World - The Independent
But many in Russia's scientific community are deeply sceptical of the threat from global warming. And only 40 per cent of Russians believe climate change is a serious threat, a survey shows

I too predict "temperature rises of up to 16 degrees centigrade" in the sense that I'm pretty confident that the temperature rises, should they happen, will be less than 16 degrees.

This is the strange thing, all of the folks that are attending Hopengahen will never be impacted by global warming anyway, as I'm sure that gas guzzling limos are all air conditioned anyway?

I have it on good authority that Obama's "Beast" actually has its own internal climate in case of an attack, so can't we all just have one of those, lets face it, if we get one for every person on earth it would be a cheaper alternative to their current plans!

Hmmm, funny how many Russians dont think global warming is a threat. Consider the main impact of global warming is near the artic, warming nighttime temps during the winter...

who in their right mind will want colder winter nights? Other than an environmentalist?
