DR MYLES ALLEN: Should a Copenhagen agreement be put to a referendum?
Why is no one calling for a referendum on whatever it is they are deciding in Copenhagen? We are told the outcome of this meeting may have a substantial impact on many aspects of our lives, and even more on the lives of our grandchildren, and might involve a significant transfer of sovereignty over various things like energy policy to some trans-national body. Surely there must be a case for it being put to the people?

The whole Copenhagen process seems to be about deals being stitched up between unelected bureaucrats and subsequently blessed by sleep-deprived politicians.
