East Anglia CRU: welcome to the Piltdown Institute of Mann-made Global Warming – Gerald Warner - Telegraph Blogs
Speaking of Michael Mann, the jolly hockey stick merchant himself is also undergoing investigation – not to worry, it is of the most grudging and perfunctory kind – at Pennsylvania State University. The University’s statement announcing the investigation is so complimentary to Mann, it almost reads like the press release of the verdict, published prematurely.z
Climategate: The Phil Jones University could break into children’s television, big time – Telegraph Blogs
“Right, children. Now, watch what Phil is doing. That thing with steam coming out of it is called a computer. What do you think Phil is putting into it? It’s called data. There we go… lots and lots of lovely codes and nice warm data… Oh, look! Phil is frowning. Something isn’t quite right… So, children, now Phil is feeding in his lucky number… and his doggie’s birthday… and his social security number. It’s getting warmer, that’s good. Now he’s adding in the number he first thought of and – wow! It’s getting really hot. Look at all that smoke coming from the computer – don’t try this at home. I’ll just print off that graph and let you see the pretty picture.”
Skeptics win warming debate | Lorrie Goldstein | Toronto Sun
Monbiot, in his book, Heat: How To Stop The Planet From Burning, which calls for a staggering 90% cut in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030, admits his campaign against global warming is a campaign for austerity. Just one of its realities, he notes, would be virtually no flying, anywhere, for anyone.

But I guess you don't win many debates if you tell people that.

Then again, apparently, you don't win many if you don't.
Citizen Video-Journalism to Take Center Stage at the United Nations Climate Change Conference Copenhagen 2009 (COP15) | SYS-CON INDIA
"Our goal is to create a social citizen platform for debate and we have started with a simple Yes/No question to determine how people perceive their personal involvement in climate issues," said Hristo Alexiev, cofounder of MaYoMo. "We want to provoke both climate change proponents and skeptics to take a stand and to express their views on environmental matters. In other words, we want to establish a global polling environment and allow world citizens to talk to each other and have their opinion heard on the eve of COP15."
PSU professor feels fallout of e-mails - Pittsburgh Tribune-Review
Answering critics questioning the integrity of his research he says shows planetary temperatures are rising, Penn State University's Michael Mann said Wednesday he never manipulated data.

"Any attempt to accuse me of this is false and a deliberate smear," said Mann, a meteorology professor and director of the university's Earth System Science Center.

"Mann has been dogged for years about his scientific work. (This) exposes his glaring weaknesses as a scientist," said Marc Morano, executive editor of Climate Depot, a Web site published in Washington. "Mann should face the full academic fallout resulting from his failings. This scandal lays bare the corruption of science that has been going on for decades since the U.N. IPCC got involved."
