Global Climate Change Conference Heats Up as Obama, Gore and the Vatican Strategize
It was just announced by the New York Times, Mr. Gore will speak on December 15 at the Bella Center, the site of the Global Change Conference and because of this late development, his previously scheduled talk designed to introduce his latest book was canceled.

Gore and Mr. Obama will meet privately on Monday, Dec. 14 at the White house, according to a White House press release.

With the international climate change talks in Copenhagen fast approaching, there is real urgency to reach diplomatic consensus on a planetary solution. In a hearing on Wednesday December 2, 2009, the Select Committee explored with climate scientists from the Obama administration the urgent, consensus view on our planetary problem: that global warming is real, and the science indicates that it is getting worse.

Even so, with all the buzz over Copenhagen and the effort expended to laugh at Climategate, it’s mind-boggling that the trend is towards skepticism, not belief. How much more hype do they need to manufacture to convince people? Are the statues not scary enough? Is Al Gore’s poetry not poignant enough? What’ll it take?

I know what it’ll take. It’ll take a guy no one trusts in the first place to blithely insist at today’s White House presser (for the second time this week) that “I think everybody is clear on the science.” Case closed. Bring on cap and trade!
I blame Rush Limbaugh | Climate change is exaggerated by the media, say large majority of Tory voters
74% of Conservative voters believe the media exaggerate the threat of climate change from global warming. 15% of them believe the media get it about right, and 9% are of the opinion that the media don’t take the threat seriously enough.
Copenhagen Day 1: the Cracks Appear Despite UK Pollyanna Press
Listening in the UK to the news coverage of the Copenhagen Climate Conference, one gets the idea that all has started in a rosy pink glow. Nothing could be further from the truth. Just what is it about this issue? Our media loses all its usual bite, and turns to sentimental goo. It is "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil".

In reality, the Conference has begun exactly as one expected, with all sorts of rifts, ructions, and risibility
Coyote Blog » Blog Archive » My Personal Experience with Climate Alarmist Spin
I have at least one experience with the core alarmist community responding where I pointed out an error. The responses I got in that case are very similar to the ones today for the CRU – basically the responses either are tangential to the basic point or try to retroactively change the alarmists original assertions. They are responses that stand up only if the questioner is unwilling or unable to do the smallest amount of verification work (in other words, they work with most of the media).
