Guelph skeptic sees fears come true in global warming scandal
GUELPH — The recent leak of damaging private emails and files from global warming proponents — the so-called Climategate — corroborates the worst fears of Guelph skeptic Ross McKitrick that the science is manipulated to fool an unquestioning public.

“There’s a sense of vindication there,” the University of Guelph economics professor said Thursday from England, where he’s been scrambling for two days to field calls for comment from major news outlets like the BBC, The Times of London, Daily Mail, Channel 4, CBC and Fox.

“My phone’s been absolutely ringing off the hook,” McKitrick said, surprised by all the calls from conventional media reporters who have in the past generally accepted man-made global warming but are now much more willing to listen to skeptics.
