during the winter, and the average temperature goes from 73 during the peak of summer to 13 during the peak of winter. But yeah...the sun has nothing to do with global warming. It's all because he exhaled too much and ate too much beef.

That it took scandal to reveal the obvious is unsettling. A 20-foot rise in sea levels, caused by internal combustion, human exhalation and cattle flatulence, should have been a tough sell. But people are gullible, and gullible people in large numbers are dangerous. That so many Americans seem willing to impoverish and indenture themselves to save the planet from nothing is troubling. But go ahead, impoverish yourselves ’till the cows come home, if you so choose. Drive a Prius. Paint your roof white. Just don’t expect us heretics to join in the self-flagellation.

Bush's National Guard service were debunked by bloggers, the claims of self-anointed climate experts likewise have been scrutinized by armies of arm-chair appraisers.

Often enough the so-called consensus theory has been found wanting, and the holes in the "settled science" shared via Internet postings.

SARANAC LAKE - Friday morning's temperature of 25 degrees below zero broke the local record for Dec. 18 and was the statewide - and possibly national - low.

The site of that frigid air was the Adirondack Regional Airport in Lake Clear, but it is listed as Saranac Lake. The village was actually in the minus-teens Friday morning until about 8 o'clock.
