Kochi, Dec 13(ANI): The ongoing Copenhagen climate Change Summit has encouraged a daily wage head loader in Kerala to swim with tied hands and legs to create awareness about water pollution.
Climategate and the "hockey stitch" - Not news to me. | Prof. Nir J. Shaviv - ScienceBits
Since I have witnessed this kind of behavior before, I was totally unsurprised with the content of these e-mails, hence "it is not news to me".
Copenhagen: A climate of manipulation | Piers Akerman - The Daily Telegraph
NATIONAL leaders will this week launch the greatest slush fund the world has ever seen - and Prime Minister Kevin Rudd will be adding your money to the pile.

Some naive folk, who probably still don't understand that governments do not, in fact, make money of their own but merely take what has been earned by others and redistribute it to causes they think will win them the most votes, may believe that the wealth redistribution will actually lower the temperature of the planet.

There is no evidence, scientific or otherwise, that this will happen. The only certainty is that billions will be ripped off by bankers and other middle men before the remainder arrives in the Third World to be looted by a line-up of dictators and tyrants.
Cloud Feedback Presentation for Fall 2009 AGU Meeting « Roy Spencer, Ph. D.
I decided to make my invited presentation on estimating cloud feedbacks from satellite measurements available here in Pdf form: Spencer-Forcing-Feedback-AGU-09-San-Francisco. While it is a draft version, I doubt that the final version will be significantly different. There will be a UAH press release on the day of presentation, December 16.
GHCN – Antarctic Warming Eight Times Actual « the Air Vent
I’m sick to death of advocate scientists pretending there are only minimal problems in the temperature record. Currently the ‘homogenized’ value added version of GHCN has a trend that is EIGHT times higher than actual for the ENTIRE ANTARCTIC CONTINENT.
NC Media Watch: Gaming the carbon trading system
Regardless of the system that EPA and CARB come up with to restrict carbon emissions, businesses will figure out how to game the systems to their advantage, often at great cost to their customers and employees, but not the company stock holders. Here is an example of how the EU Carbon Credits are being gamed, yet the impact on the environment is zero. We can expect similar gaming once the CARB and the EPA has established their top down carbon trading rules. A national cap and trade program will not improve the situation.
