Temperatures in Redding have dropped to 18 degrees or colder only seven times since 1893, which is as far back as the archive for that city goes.
Reasonable people without any special expertise understand the logic of global warming. Industrialized societies cannot belch greater measurable tons of toxic gases into the air and water without causing destructive changes. Charging that the UN relied on these scientists unjustifiably, Sensenbrenner said: "It's now time for us to get real scientific information, scientific information that has been fairly and vigorously peer reviewed, rather than having United Nations and its scientific agencies end up being a huge propaganda organ for a preconceived notion."
