Catching up on the latest in the world of carbon trading ahead of my trip to the climate change conference in Copenhagen next week, I stumbled across some slightly alarming figures suggesting the scale of fraud that has been plaguing the market.

Meanwhile in Congress, the House’s climate change legislation, which squeaked through 219-212 last June, looks like the high-water mark for the green team. Just 35 percent of Americans supported the legislation at the time, according to Rasmussen Reports. When received wisdom becomes doubted dogma, support erodes. Consider the legislation dead.

1) It’s remarkable that the biggest news story of the year is being ignored by the mainstream media. Evidence of fraud among the most prestigious climate scientists at the esteemed University of East Anglia’s Climate Research Unit doesn’t appear to be newsworthy.
