According to AccuWeather.com Agricultural Meteorologist Dale Mohler, the hard freeze tonight will be the worst since December of 1989.UN IPCC chief Pachauri under fire in India for conflicts of interest « Watts Up With That?
Mohler said that unlike the last few nights, temperatures tonight across all the orange groves will drop below freezing and most will dip blow 28°, a critical temperature for the fruit. In many groves, temperatures will stay below 28° for 6 to 10 hours or more.
Mohler expects a 6 to 10 percent loss of the total 2009 orange crop after tonight's freeze.

Tiger Woods downfall was external affairs outside of his vow of matrimony. By the same token, Dr. Pachauri is “married” to the IPCC and is apparently conducting “business affairs” that appear to be a conflict of interest outside of his vow of public service. If this isn’t grounds for a divorce from the IPCC, I don’t know what would be.

Terri Jackson, Founder of the Energy Group at the Institute of Physics, has invited us to draw public attention to the fact that the Institute of Physics, which is supposed to be a charity dedicated to academic freedom, was unwilling to allow Margaret Thatcher’s finance minister, Lord Lawson of Blaby, to give an address at the Institute on the sole ground that he believes it is economically pointless and disproportionately costly to try to reduce emissions of carbon dioxide.
