News Corp.'s support for combating climate change undermined by deniers at Fox News, WSJ | Media Matters for America
News Corp. CEO Rupert Murdoch has stated that News Corp. "can set an example" and "reach our audiences" when it comes to fighting climate change, promising in 2007 to make all of News Corp.'s operations carbon neutral by 2010 and most recently commissioning pollster Frank Luntz to conduct a survey that reportedly studied the most effective way to communicate with voters on climate change. However, media figures at his news outlets, including Fox News and the Wall Street Journal, have routinely advanced false and misleading claims in denying climate change.

Nowhere could that be clearer than in climate and clean energy jobs bill.

The public support for action — including by a clear majority of independents and even many Republicans — could not be stronger as poll and poll makes clear. And still we see the likes of Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) pointlessly back-pedaling on this straight-out political winner.
Mother Nature Network's cherry-picking of Matterhorn photos fails miserably in their effort to debunk Glaciergate | GORE LIED
I suppose an opportunist could conclude from photos that I found on Flickr that the the amount of snow, ice and glaciers on the Matterhorn have actually grown significantly from 2006 to today, but a realist recognizes that this is not necessarily the case, and that a better explanation would be that the photo showing little snow was shot during the summer, and the other showing a blanket of snow was shot during the winter. Regarding the MNN photos presented, no mention is made of what season each photo was shot ,and it’s doubtful that they even want us to consider such inconvenient thoughts. To the contrary, MNN expects readers to just swallow their photos whole, be scared, and do so without asking any pesky questions.

The story of Fox News is very simple. Murdoch is a rich guy who loves Obama. Most of the money and hedge funds in the world are behind global warming and carbon trading. Murdoch has sold a stake in Fox News to Saudi principals, so their wishes must be taken into account as well. It does not mean Murdoch has personally re-surveyed the Himalayas or is right about anything. The carbon offset scam is the biggest profit center today in Europe's investment banks. Roger Ailes was forced to meet twice before the election about Fox's treatment of Obama, the first time in mid 2008 at the Waldorf with Murdoch and Obama himself. The second time in October with Axelrod. After the election, staff at Fox News received a memo from the top saying to soft pedal treatment of Obama. These events were all published in mainstream news sources and should not surprise anyone. The multi-million dollar company Media Matters is like Obama and Soros. 99% control of all thought is not enough. More mistakes in the Nobel Prize winning IPCC report come out every day.
