Much more to do in 2010. Foundations now laid in the Copenhagen climate change [hoax] Accord. We need national & global action for our kids. KRudd
Climategate: Michael Mann's very unhappy New Year – Telegraph Blogs
As I said yesterday, one of our jobs this year is to wipe the complacent smiles off the smug faces of the lobbyists, “experts”, “scientists”, politicians and activist

This is why I am so glad to report that Michael Mann – creator of the incredible Hockey Stick curve and one of the scientists most heavily implicated in the Climategate scandal – is about to get a very nasty shock. When he turns up to work on Monday, he’ll find that all 27 of his colleagues at the Earth System Science Center at Penn State University have received a rather tempting email inviting them to blow the whistle on anyone they know who may have been fraudulently misusing federal grant funds for climate research.

Under US law, regardless of whether or not a prosecution results, the whistleblower stands to make very large sums of money: it is based on a percentage of the total government funds which have been misused, in this case perhaps as much as $50 million. Weather and Climate Through the Eyes of Mark Vogan: Frozen in Time: Forecasts call Lows through Thursday no Warmer than -6C...
This is now surpassing anything I can remember in my 26 year lifetime and we still have plenty more winter left, in fact there is still another nearly 3 months of winter left.
The Hindu : States / Other States : 30 die due to cold wave in UP; foggy conditions persist
Over 30 people died in Uttar Pradesh due to cold wave as foggy conditions prevailed for the second successive day on Sunday in many parts of the northern region with some states also experiencing light showers.

As many as 33 people died due to intense cold conditions in UP since Saturday night taking the death toll to 74 in the state this winter.
Siberian winds usher in record lows in Beijing
A FREEZING cold front swept over much of northern China on Sunday with snowstorms snarling traffic and air travel, while some of the coldest temperatures in decades were forecast for coming days.

Gale-force winds sweeping down from Siberia could result in temperatures as low as minus 16 degrees in the capital today, the Beijing meteorological station said.

Such temperatures are believed to be the coldest in the capital in 40 years.
Cheers and Jeers at Copenhagen’s Climate [Scam] Conference
When a "skeptic" politician, one who has political stature, arrived at the conference, he was both snubbed and roundly condemned. Unlike the countless "environmentalist" groups who were given their own rooms for press conferences and other events, Republican U.S. Senator James Inhofe was forced to stand on a staircase to make his remarks. Many journalists could not even access his "press conference" owing to increased security that had been erected that day.
...
Many of the journalists who attended his speech were taken aback and went on the offensive. "What do you tell the children who have to live in a nightmare world? What should we tell them about your country being a heroin addict on fossil fuel? Answer the question!" shouted one.
...
House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer also criticized Inhofe when asked about his statements, saying the "majority" of Senators "do believe in global warming." When asked about Climategate, he was among the first to admit to THE NEW AMERICAN that "clearly there is a controversy." "But," he quickly added, "it will pass."
...
When Rangel was asked about Climategate by THE NEW AMERICAN, he looked puzzled. After briefly explaining to him what it was, he responded: "No, no, no, we are just here to support the process." Then he turned away.
...
Climategate was the elephant in the room, and some journalists were not even permitted to mention it in their reporting. "It’s a phrase my editor doesn’t allow me to use," said a feminist journalist across the table in the media room, referring to Climategate. Similar statements were made by other reporters, too.
