Barrasso Calls for UN Climate Chief’s Resignation
[video here] WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Senator John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) called on Dr. Rajendra Pachauri, Chairman of the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, to resign after revelations of ongoing scientific fraud under Dr. Pachauri’s watch. Senator Barrasso delivered the following statement on the Senate Floor:
“Every day, new scandals emerge about the so called ‘facts’ in the UN reports. The integrity of the data and the integrity of the science have been compromised.

“Concrete action by world leaders is needed. Government delegations of the UN’s general assembly and UN Secretary Moon must pressure Dr. Rajendra Pachauri to step down as head of the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.

In an organization with any kind of accountability, Pachauri would already have received his walking papers. The UN, however, doesn’t have that kind of accountability. This is the same organization that allowed billions of dollars to flow into Saddam Hussein’s hands while supposedly enforcing sanctions on his dictatorship in Iraq, while turning a blind eye to the starvation of Iraqis that Oil for Food was supposed to avoid. Heads didn’t roll after that, nor after UN peacekeepers in over a dozen missions were exposed for sexually exploiting women and children.

Given that track record, it’s difficult to see how anyone expects Pachauri to resign or even be asked to do so. And that may not be such a bad thing anyway; the longer the UN tolerates his presence, the more it demonstrates its own corruption and the unveiled bias and non-science basis of the anthropogenic global-warming movement.
Administration Presses On for a 'Cap' on Carbon Emissions - NYTimes.com
White House climate and energy adviser Carol Browner used the words "cap" and "price signal" several times yesterday in describing what the administration would be pushing for in the days ahead to spur new jobs and curb the "dangerous pollutants that contribute to global warming."
...
Yet Browner did not press for a carbon trading system in conjunction with a cap. She acknowledged that there are some politicians who are "not so sure about this climate change thing," after meeting with several governors about energy and global warming yesterday.
Global warming full of uncertainties, admit climate scientists. - Science and Health Blog - Mirror.co.uk
Global warming is full of uncertainties and the public is right to be confused, scientists admitted today.

Three leading UK climate scientists braved the lion's den of a media briefing at the Science Media Centre in London to talk about the state of climate science following the recent furore over emails at the University of East Anglia, witholding of facts, and evidence in the IPCC report wrongly saying Himalayan glaciers would have completely melted away by 2035.

Nature controls global climate through galactic, solar, planetary, oceanic, atmospheric drivers and their interactions. Grants to TERI only influence climate spin.

Before spending millions of taxpayer dollars on bogus global warming claims during the financial crisis, why did our free-spending Prime Minister and Senator Wong not do their due diligence?
