BBC's billions that fund a green agenda
How amusing! This has made my day. The BBC is betting its employees' retirement money on global warming being right. It's literally putting its money where its mouth is -- but it is backing the wrong horse. Its employees will be frothing mad about it in the not too distant future. Those responsible will undoubtedly answer for it in court one day. What right have they got to gamble with other people's money? Most racegoers think their horse is a "cert" when they back it. The BBC has gambled on such a prophecy too. The money should have gone into blue chip stocks -- real present-day assets. As for ethics, what ethics? But skeptics will be laughing about it for years. "He laughs loudest ...."
Express.co.uk - Global warming to become global cooling, claims expert
GLOBAL warming is set to become global cooling this century, a leading analyst claimed yesterday.

Professor Michael Beenstock said theories of climate change are wrong.
Munging Madagascar « Watts Up With That?
[Verity Jones] Even the patchy data stops in 2005, so after this date Madagascar too gets ‘filled in’ data from elsewhere – it seems from the rural stations up to 1000km away – again. And even the stations used to ‘fill in’ have patchy data – many have a gap then ONE DATA POINT in 2009. Note that there was no data for 10 years prior to 2009 in this station.
Where Is Global Warming?
From the look of things, the only warming giving cause for alarm is coming from IPCC pants on fire.
Cap & Trade; The Demise of Science- Based Policy Development | Conservative Cabbie
Special interest groups get the majority of the attention in the media (who love a catastrophe). Anti-industrialists, environmentalists, the entertainment community, and some scientists looking for the next grant feed ammunition to the politicians who can’t wait to gain more control in order to create their utopia. Meanwhile the legislation races through the House essentially unfettered by legitimate criticism.

Finally, many C & T proponents are not credible. Even the most heartless ideologue would not deny a massive push for nuclear power, the best carbon-free energy source, if it truly meant avoiding Armageddon. But they do and that suggests to me that there is really a different agenda.
Letters: Transparency and trust in climate science | Environment | The Guardian
• The climate change emails furore demonstrates that: scientists are as prone to skulduggery and infighting as any other group of professionals; people who feel their expansive lifestyles threatened will clutch at any straw, however feeble. Neither should cause us much surprise. Calm down, everybody!

AD: India Sets up Independent Global Warming Panel by Guest: Dennis T. Avery, 2/7/10
My prediction: The Indian science panel will hasten the end for the IPCC’s once-dominant view of man-made climate change.
