David Gershon: Empowering a Climate Change [Hoax] Movement, Part Four: The Global Warming Cafe
...I told them our challenge was not making the case that we had a problem; Al Gore had already done that with his movie. In fact he had done this so well that people left feeling a sense of foreboding doom. This is part of the nature of accepting reality.
....
Before I proceed further I have a true confession to tell about my personal experience of doing the Low Carbon Diet. Gail and I assumed we would ace this program, given that we were leading a very green lifestyle. After all, we'd done so many of the actions in the sustainable lifestyle program I had created previously, and thoroughly integrated them as a way of life. However, because I am always flying all over the planet telling people to lower their carbon footprint or promoting some other save-the-world idea, our household carbon footprint was not a pretty sight. When Gail and I calculated it on a scale of one to ten with ten being the best, carbon neutral, and one being the worst, 80,000 pounds or more, we scored a one--the worst!
Power Line - It's Not Apostasy
In any event, it is simply not scientific to assume that if two other factors--solar intensity and volcanoes--do not fully explain changes in temperatures, then whatever remains must be due to anthropogenic global warming. The Earth's climate system is complex and not well understood. There is no scientific basis for assuming that AGW accounts for "everything else."
Climate train pushes ahead, despite its skirmishing enemies – [Dispatch from the world of Geoffrey Lean] - Telegraph Blogs
Reporting the increasingly bitter row over climate change these days is a bit like watching one of those old Westerns, where a wagon train is rattling through dangerous terrain, surrounded by skirmishing enemies, riddled with arrows, and yet still somehow making surprising progress towards its destination. The driver of one of the wagons, Rajendra Pachauri, the Chairman of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, is haemorraging blood, having repeatedly shot himself in both feet. Passengers appear to be leaping off another, the bill before the US Senate. And the entire train almost went over a cliff in Copenhagen. Yet, rather than juddering to a halt, it just keeps on going, even picking up a little speed.
...
And so the wagon train rattles on towards Mexico -  beset, as it is, by its enemies. Will it make it in one piece? Who knows. But it has already got further, faster, than anyone would have expected just a few weeks ago.
Roger Pielke Jr.'s Blog: RMS Confirms Effort to Skirt IPCC Publication Deadlines
In my efforts to unravel the issues associated with the IPCC's mistreatment of the subject of disasters and climate change I discovered that the IPCC intentionally mis-cited a paper to get around its own deadline for the inclusion of publications in its report. This fact has now been independently confirmed by RMS, a company that develops catastrophe models for re/insurance
...
The problem was that the "earlier summary version of the paper" did not contain any of the information for which the citation was provided in the IPCC, specifically a discussion of rising temperatures and the increasing costs of disasters. In academia, the intentional mis-citing of a paper in support of a claim for which the paper offers absolutely no support would be a highly questionable ethical practice.
The Temperature at Which Global Warming Freezes | Energy & Environment
Walking through the blizzard, the trees wreathed in bridal veils of snow, I heard their voices in the distance, a distance that in the whiteness may have been only a dozen feet away. "The scientists say Global Warming is coming", the mother said. "It's too cold out for that," answered the little girl.
