Global Warming Lunatics
What a difference a few years can make.

Phil Jones, the man who more than anyone else (besides Al Gore) was responsible for perpetuating the Man-Made Global Warming hysteria, has now conceded that, ahem, there's a tiny problem with his data. Namely, it doesn't exist.

...given the ragged state of the economy, persistently high unemployment and foreclosure rates, the suddenly much-weaker scientific case for cutting carbon dioxide emissions, and the changing balance of power in Washington, don’t count on any significant carbon emissions legislation out of Congress anytime soon. Democrats and Republicans alike are seeing political peril in imposing higher energy prices on taxpayers during the recession.

So what will happen? Expect environmental groups and the wind industry to continue pushing legislation at the state and local levels that will mandate the deployment of renewables.
