Global warming: A new claim will follow damaging news
This has been a very bad three months for the establishment team. Climategate. Copenhagen. Conflicts of interest. Cold weather. Glaciergate. Africagate. Recantations and incantations. A very bad three months.

If past behaviour is any indication, the establishment is working right now on some sort of announcement that recasts the threat to the world from global warming in some new, dire light.

The population of self-citing climate modeller-projectionists are so small in number, and so interconnected that there may be an argument that it constitutes a community with its own insular politics. Given the predominance of certain individuals from that population in the climate debate, it seems hard to argue otherwise. That’s one for sociologists to mull over, perhaps.

To refresh everyone's memory of how bad and inconsistent the temperature record is, look at the temperature difference between Stillwater, Oklahoma and Perry, Oklahoma, towns merely 16 miles apart.
