A Misstep and Signs of Despair at Climate Progress (climate optimism, anyone?) — MasterResource
And at Comment 17. Krumrich says: “A lot of people are leaving global warming. It looks like a flagging group and Bin Laden is helping bolster beliefs in drastic warming. Climate was a disaster.”

I'd hate to watch those guys shop for a used car...
The reef must soon bleach or Ove gets it | Herald Sun Andrew Bolt Blog
Not looking good for Ove already. The National Oceanographic Data Center now calculates that ocean temperatures have not risen - as Ove predicted - but fallen over the past five years or more..

IT’S AN EMBARRASSED SILENCE, THOUGH: U.S. Media Silent As Climate Scandals Continue. But yeah, The Times of London is eating their lunch. And dinner, breakfast, and bedtime snack.
UHI is alive and well « Watts Up With That?
One of the most ridiculous claims recently related to Menne et al 2010 and my surfacestations project was a claim made by DeSmogBlog (and Huffington Post who carried the story also) is that the “Urban Heat Island Myth is Dead“.

To clarify for these folks: Elvis is dead, UHI is not.

For disbelievers, let’s look at a few cases showing UHI to be alive and well.
Democrats fall as fast as Nixon Republicans in 1974 | Washington Examiner
Many people ask me whether the Democrats are in as much trouble as they were in 1994. The numbers suggest they are in much deeper trouble, at least at this moment.
Taking Green Building to the Extreme(ly Stupid) - Greg Pollowitz - Planet Gore on National Review Online
Just a guess, but I bet hiring people with vertical lawnmowers costs more than $280,000 per year. There is no way this project ever makes economic sense.
Lake Powell Water Levels as a Proxy for Western Snowfall « Watts Up With That?
But a strange thing happened in 2006 – the lake level stopped declining and instead started increasing rapidly. As you can see in the table below from lakepowell.water-data.com, since 2005 the lake elevation has increased by more than 60 feet above the 2005 low of 3562 ft. As of January 29, at 3622 ft. the lake is within three feet of the January 29 average of 3625 feet elevation. The volume of water in the lake has increased by 65% in the last five years to 4.5 trillion gallons. (At movie theater prices for bottled water, that could almost erase the US National Debt.)
Climate Institute: Impact of ETS on food prices "minimal" | Australian Climate Madness
Gee, there's a real surprise, ain't it? An alarmist organisation whose sole existence is thanks to the overblown "climate crisis" comes up with a report that justifies its own existence and reassures everyone that the massive, unnecessary new tax will have far less of an effect on food prices than the evils of "global warming". And as usual, the ABC fails to see the conflict and publishes it all unquestioningly, and timed perfectly to coincide with the return of parliament tomorrow, undermining the Coalition's opposition to the ETS (of course, the ABC is stuffed to the gills with Lefties from Kerry O'Brien down [or is it up?], so any opportunity to bolster Rudd and Labor at the expense of the other parties is welcomed with open arms)
The science is still settled! | CLIMATEGATE
As we were writing this up, we began to make funny jabs at the high school level editorial, but it was just too much for us. Every line deserved a comment. But, we’re sure you deniers had no problem recognizing the hilarity to be found in every line. Share your favorites with us.

A cover to age us prematurely | Herald Sun Andrew Bolt Blog
The Rudd Government can’t miss a chance to flog its green alarmism. Here’s the cover of today’s report on ageing Australia - and if windpower truly is the hallmark of life in 2050, our aged then will have those smiles wiped from their faces.
IPCC: Inglorious Basterds | Reputation Report
It is nothing short of laughable for governments to still hang policy based on anything from the IPCC. The IPCC is now completely devoid of credibility and trust, and a track record of deception is being revealed almost daily. The only course of action forthwith is the immediate disbanding of the IPCC before it does further damage. It follows that a similar course of action for an emissions trading scheme awaits.
Maybe carbon dioxide is not the only factor affecting weather and climate | Washington Examiner
All this points to a common sense conclusion. We should try to understand these things better. But we should not insist that those who doubt the theories—advanced as certainties—by global warming alarmists are like Holocaust deniers. The recent revelations of the Climategate emails and the confession that the prediction that the Himalayan glaciers would melt by 2035 had no scientific basis shows that much of our climate science has been hijacked by those for whom predictions of global warming have taken on the character of a religious faith. Let science be science.
