ROME, February 12, 2010 (AFP) - Snow fell in Rome early Friday, offering a rare view of the Italian capital coated in white.

A couple of centimeters (about an inch) of snow covered the city centre, from the Colosseum to the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps, adhering to the famous monuments for the first time in recent memory.
