Yet Phil Jones had not managed the most basic task of anyone compiling a temperature record. He had not kept, in good order, the data on which the record was based. Anyone who reads the “Harry Read-Me.txt” file — which contains 15,000 lines of commentary by a programmer about the numerous appalling defects in data handling and processing at the Climate Research Unit — cannot help but be struck by the sheer ineptitude of the whole proceeding.

In effect, the temperature record of the CRU is little better than a fabrication — much like the four assessment reports of the IPCC. Taxpayers should clamor for the abolition of the CRU and of the IPCC. Their findings are not just lies — they are expensive lies.
Climate Common Sense: The Big Question of Quality Assurance and Global Warming
If a simple quality audit was done on the data based on which the world is to waste trillions of dollars ,
the whole Global Warming Edifice would come crashing down.
As a Professional Engineer by training I am continually amazed by the sloppiness of the work done by scientists as indicated by the Climategate emails and the recent admissions by Dr Phil Jones to the BBC.
In the real world (not the fantasy world of these scientists) if a company wishes to sell goods worth only a few tens of thousands of dollars to the Government a current Quality Assurance System has to be in place with detailed Quality Control Procedures all of which has to be independently audited regularly. Software also must be to the relevant standard with annotation, flow charts and traceability. The Climategate software is unbelievably bad in this regard. We must demand Quality Audits of the data and software used by these so-called scientists to further the Global Warming gravy train.
Bangladesh rejects £60m of climate [hoax] aid from UK | Environment | guardian.co.uk
Britain is expected to press Bangladesh to change its mind at a two-day meeting in the country starting tomorrow. If it refuses, the money may be withdrawn.
...
The Guardian revealed last summer that under the UK plan, known as the Multi Donor Trust Fund for Climate Change, £4.9m of the pledge will not reach Bangladesh but will be siphoned off by the bank as administration costs.
...
The £60m fund has also drawn criticism from the Bangladesh government because it will be paid from within existing Dfid budgets, potentially draining resources from other projects. Britain has pledged several times that such climate finance should be provided on top of existing aid commitments.
Roof collapsed from snow at Rostraver, PA Ice
This afternoon, around 3pm the middle section of the roof on the Rostraver Ice Gardens collapsed during a children's hockey tournament. Children had traveled here from as far away as Canada to participate.

Rescue crews are working to get inside, but they think everyone got out okay and averted what would have certainly been a horrific tragedy.
BBC News - Deer starving due to harsh Scottish winter
Thousands of deer are thought to be at risk of starvation in Scotland following this year's harsh winter.
