Thermometer Zombie Walk « Musings from the Chiefio

In looking for what thermometers died in 2010, I discovered that there are Zombie Thermometers. They appear to be alive in some years, but sometimes are unresponsive and give no data. They can be dropped from the GHCN v2.mean data file (silently) as though they have died. Gone and buried. Not even giving a ‘missing data flag’ to show they are alive.

And yet….

When time passes, these, the Un-Dead, can return to the surface of the planet and mingle their data with the living thermometers…

Sir John, in this interview, is also quoted as saying: “God does show anger. When he appeared to Elijah there was earthquake wind and fire. Our model is Jesus. He was a man as well as being divine and he certainly showed anger.”

Clearly missing from the IPCC’s impressive body of expertise is that of theology.

Perhaps, Sir John and The Observer should be apologising to Dr. Peiser, not the other way round.

The blizzards are surely not the most sophisticated arguments concerning the climate but I do think that they are a legitimate piece of evidence.

Let me get this straight:

On the word of some folks who have been caught lying for obvious financial reasons and can't "keep track" of their own data, we are to destroy our economic system, and therefore our nation. We are to live in huts, eat nuts and roots, ride bicycles, and crown Al Gore King of the World.

I don't buy it, although our president does, as evidenced by his continued headlong dive into the global warming waters.
