Climate Science: Michael Mann and Phil Jones, brought to you by Pachauri, advocated by Joe Romm
The next time a politician says 'the science is settled,' remember it is the science as distorted by Phil Jones and Michael Mann. The next time a scientist tells you of the consensus of the community, remember that they said nothing about what has happened. The next time a journalist complains about the poisoned quality of the debate, remember the vicious writing of Joe Romm.

And the next time someone talks about the well-funded skeptical media machine, remember that it is independent unpaid bloggers like Steve McIntyre and Anthony Watts that exposed Mann and Jones, while it is the well-funded Center of American Progress that pays Joe Romm to insult them.

I have worked on something related to global warming in virtually every class I have had in college and it's really been worthless
More Carbon Dissidents - WSJ.com
So eight senior Senate Democrats think that Congress—instead of the Environmental Protection Agency—should decide whether or not to regulate carbon. Imagine that: Policy choices that carry enormous consequences for "the workers, industries, taxpayers and economic interests of our states" should be made by duly elected representatives.
Robert Bryce: The Brewing Tempest Over Wind Power - WSJ.com
Imagine this scenario: The oil and gas industry launches an aggressive global drilling program with a new type of well. Thousands of these new wells, once operational, emit a noxious odor so offensive that many of the people living within a mile of them are kept awake at night. Some are even forced to move out of their homes. It's easy to predict the reaction: denunciations of the industry, countless lawsuits, and congressional investigations.

Now substitute wind for oil and gas and consider the noise complaints being lodged against wind projects around the world.
