Die Klimazwiebel: Dutch PBL checks IPCC reports
Mrs Cramer (meanwhile former) Minister of Environment changed her initial absolute belief in the IPCC findings into a more criticalSenate talks intensify with new carbon pricing draft expected this week
approach: "I'm very disturbed and "very indignant" (the year 2035), and she was going to write IPCC to clear up the procedures. Finally she declared "not to accept any fault any more" (Holland 60% below sea level), and at january 28th she asked Planbureau Leefomgeving (PBL, comparable to part of UBA in Germany) to check some regional results from WG2 IPCC reports.
So, PBL will check any faults coming from climategate, and whatever anyone might find faulty in the IPCC reports, because this week PBL will open a website where any remarks from the public can be dropped.
Seen from sceptical sides PBL is not the most independent authority to conduct this research. They point to important contributions from PBL to IPCC reports and they doubt the institution's neutrality on this matter.
The Senate trio at the center of talks on a comprehensive climate and energy bill will present a draft proposal this week to their fence-sitting colleagues and high-profile interest groups amid warnings from Democratic leadership that the window for action is closing.Morning Bell: The Edifice Falls | The Foundry: Conservative Policy News.
"It's time," said a Senate aide close to the process. "Game on."
Sen. Kerry told the Post last week about his legislative effort, “What people need to understand about this bill is this really is a jobs bill, an economic transformation for America, an energy independence bill and a health/pollution-reduction bill that has enormous benefits for the country,” Kerry said. Notice he said nothing about global warming or climate change, the reason we were supposed to take this long walk off a short pier. Notice also he didn’t say it was about handing the political class the reins of the private economy.Conservative Blog | AmericanNation.Info » Rebuttal To Al Gore–A New World Religious Order : the Faithful Anthropogenic Global warming Sect

Landsea is not an AGW skeptic, but left his IPCC post in 2005 over the politicization of the scientific process at the UN body. At the very least, the scientific research showing that hurricane strength cycles have nothing to do with AGW or carbon emissions is yet another reason to dismiss the highly-politicized 2007 report and the blatherings of politicians using it to seize control of the private energy sector. About the only reliable information left in the IPCC report is the page numbers. The Dog Ate my Data: Bias from the BBC
It was about “The Rise of Climate Scepticism in Australia”. It described climate sceptics (they’d burn ‘em if that weren’t “polluting”) meetings as being like an “American religious revivalist meetings” (that’s so BBC on so many levels, that’s the sort of thing to get the average Indy reader priapic) and it was just generally horrendous. Despite my inchoate rage I did though clock something which outraged me beyond feline-throwing comprehension.
