A Message for Climate Change Skeptics
Is global warming happening? The likelihood is more than 90 per cent that elevated levels of atmospheric carbon dioxide are heating the planet. Can we know for certain? No. But playing Russian Roulette with nine of 10 chambers loaded with live bullets is a fool's game. Only the most reckless and speculative of gamblers would bet against such odds. And what's the point when the reward of winning is the status quo and the cost of losing is catastrophe.

This is the gamble that climate change skeptics are taking, even though they don't understand modern science, they don't understand the odds and they don't understand the consequences.
...
Their reluctance to accept near-certainty -- as close as modern science gets to truth -- is now jeopardizing our chances of stopping an unstoppable slide into the unthinkable.
Global Warming Hysteria: Americans Not So Hysterical » Secondhand Smoke | A First Things Blog
A whopping 67% don’t think it will pose a “serious threat” in their lifetimes, up 9% in only two years. But that’s the problem with false hysteria. Generating it is relatively easy, particularly when it is supported by the Establishment and the MSM. But maintaining the fear long enough to really change society, that’s a lot harder. And once the balloon springs a leak, it is really hard to reinflate.
Consensus! Global warming threat is exaggerated! (Wizbang)
...the fact is that there's no scientific consensus to suggest that A) the planet is warming or B) that man has something to do with it.

Instead, there's a rising consensus that the global warming threat in and of itself is manufactured by man to foist and further a political agenda.

And the Gallup poll suggests that people are waking up to it.

Hope and change baby.

What drives green activism isn't saving the planet, it's envy of those who succeed. Ehrlich and these "colleagues" see environmentalism as the only game they can win — where counterfeit catastrophes create careers and you, the individual, are always to blame.
Carbon Fraud Revealed Down Under
Prime Carbon, an Australian producer and seller of carbon credits, has been accused of making misleading claims on its Web site and in other marketing materials, reports the Sydney Morning Herald.

Prime Carbon, whose Web site is closed pending review (see image), is alleged to have claimed an association with Australia’s National Stock Exchange – an association that was never evident.
