[Odd argument: Let's honor Al Gore even if Al Gore Warming is a crock]
But in regard to the honorary doctor of laws and humane letters in ecology and evolutionary biology degree Mr. Gore will receive this spring, it does not matter.

Leadership, the type that pushes people beyond their comfort zone to address the world's biggest problems, requires a lightning rod. If Mr. Gore is wrong about carbon emissions altering climate, then he's pushed science further in looking at the changes we are facing. If Mr. Gore is right, then he's pushed scientists to figure it out.

Either way, his advocacy has sparked meaningful debate and research.

Montana hunters, farmers and fishermen are a conservative group. These good old boys are just regular guys who have never worn a suit and don't plan to wear one. They don't need to, because the movie is playing outside the back porches of their cabins.
