Toronto stays bright for Earth Hour - thestar.com
When Earth Hour came to Toronto this year, many of the lights stayed on.

According to Toronto Hydro, fewer people participated this year — the utility recorded a 10 per cent power drop between 8:30 and 9:30 p.m. Saturday, March 27, 2010, compared with 15.1 per cent last year.

For security reasons, France’s Eiffel Tower dimmed its lights for five minutes, rather than a full hour.
[Speaking of shutting off lights very briefly to honor scientific fraud, does this count?]
Lamps operating on AC electric systems (alternating current) produce light flickering at a frequency of 120 Hertz (Hz, cycles per second), twice the power line frequency of 60 Hz (50 Hz in many countries outside North America). Essentially, the power is turning on and off 120 times a second (actually the voltage varies from +120 volts to -120 volts, 60 times or cycles a second and is at zero volts twice in one cycle).
Capitalism causes global warming
So the left adopted a different tactic: capitalism causes bad weather. This is what was behind the global cooling hysteria in the 1970’s and what now motivates the hysteria about global warming. Read the ominous press releases, books and articles from the 1970s and you will see the same predictions of mass species extinction, famine and severe weather extremes.
Vice President Al Gore attends fundraising event for local Dems
Facing stiff competition in the upcoming November elections, Democratic elected officials like Congresswoman Dina Titus, took to the stage to thank supporters for their loyalty. Senator Reid didn't say much about the Tea Party Express bus tour that kicked off earlier this morning in his hometown of Searchlight. But Vice President Gore and Congresswoman Titus had sharp criticisms for the grass roots organization.

"Anger is not a platform and divisiveness is not a strategy. We need ideas to improve people's lives," said Gore.

"I had tea baggers, Sarah Palin, and Ann Coulter in my district today, so it feels good to be with friends," said Titus.
