City to cut idling limit to 1 minute
Toronto has moved to toughen its idling bylaw, slapping motorists with a $125 ticket if they are caught with engines running for more than a minute in what the city's medical officer of health acknowledges stems from efforts ''to shift people out of cars.''

Google invests $38.8 mln in two U.S. wind farms
SAN FRANCISCO, May 3 (Reuters) - Internet search giant Google Inc (GOOG.O) has invested $38.8 million in two wind farms in North Dakota that generate enough energy to power more than 55,000 homes.

The investment in the wind farms, developed by NextEra Energy Resources, is Google's first direct investment in a utility-scale renewable energy project.

the wind farm "powers 55000 number of homes" - homes seem to be the new unit for electricity consumption... can't they admit it's only 55MW, and that's peak capacity, so as soon as the wind speeds are less then ideal, coal and gas fired plants have to supply these "homes" or else the lights go out

Without idling, an important function of the car - to keep you warm in cold weather - is removed. But I guess that's their plan...
