"You Can With Beakman & Jax," a science comic for children that appears in 300 newspapers across the country, once again propagandized to young readers on Sunday. The May 2 edition featured a question from an E-mailer on who "writes myths." Artist Jox Church editorialized, "There are modern myths, too. Lots have to do with politics, like the kooky myth that global warming isn't real."

Church, who also created the TV show Beakman's World, has repeatedly used his comic to lecture children about climate change.

Modern Leftism and Magical Thinking

The gassy Global Warming myth is pagan religious drama driven by Magical Thinking. In ancient Rome, when natural disaster occurred it was assumed the gods were offended. In the modern liberal world, man has sinned against the god of earth, ie “Gaia.” Therefore, we must sacrifice so god will not be vexed at mankind’s impiety. It is unmistakable that much of rhetoric delivered by Global Warming advocates comes not just in pseudo-scientific terms, but also couched in simplistic, moralizing religious terminology.
