Sen. Harkin loves/hates new clean energy bill

Iowa Senator Tom Harkin issued a news release last night praising a new “clean energy” bill before the U-S Senate, but found very little positive to say about the legislation during a conference call with Iowa reporters this morning.

The recent cold, wet weather is raising concerns for Iowa farmers. Most of the state’s corn crop has been planted, but some crops were damaged by frost last weekend. Iowa State University Extension Climatologist Elwynn Taylor says those damaged plants may have trouble recovering in the soggy conditions this week.

So we have environmentalists agreeing with global warming skeptics (see earlier post) that Kerry-Lieberman will do nothing to stop global warming.

Not that global warming is a bad thing.

Seriously, they — the staffs of Kerry and Lieberman — don’t know what they are doing. This endangers us all.
