[Tom Fuller actually suggests that trace amounts of CO2 can kill people]
The present state of climate science, if anybody cares, is that temperatures are rising at about 1.25 degrees C per century, and that this will cause some serious problems in specific regions of the world, although we don't really know yet which regions they will be. It will save us time and money and quite a few lives in the developing world if we do some of the things we know we need to do anyhow a bit earlier than planned, such as satisfy our energy needs with a more balanced portfolio of fuels, weaning ourselves off of fossil fuels before they run out, and retrofitting our infrastructure to be more efficient.

BBC - Richard Black's Earth Watch: IPCC review: friend or foe?
The organisation is accused of deliberately selecting report leaders "fully signed up to the global warming theology", as you might put it, and of deliberately excluding dissenting voices through a variety of mechanisms.

It is accused of routinely neglecting the influence of natural climatic cycles in its projections, and of concocting projections of the world's socio-economic future that bear little relation to reality.
