California’s climate [hoax] law in peril, Governator pissed | Grist
California's pioneering cap-and-trade climate law, the Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006, is officially under threat in this November's election. The ballot initiative known as the California Jobs Initiative, which "would halt enforcement of the Global Warming Solutions Act until the state's unemployment rate falls to 5.5 percent or less," on Tuesday received the necessary qualifications to go before California voters. This would effectively bring the law to its knees.

And Arnold the Governator ain't too happy about it. His official statement:
This initiative sponsored by greedy Texas oil companies would cripple California's fastest growing economic sector, reverse our renewable energy policy and decimate our environmental progress for the benefit of these oil companies' profit margins. I will not allow this to happen on my watch. We will continue moving this state forward with our comprehensive energy policy that creates jobs, reduces our reliance on foreign oil and ensures the California we love will be the California we hand over to the next generation.
