The Himalayan Times - Prez wishes success for women climbers

They will climb Kosciuszko (2228 meters) at first. Similarly, the team will have climb Mt El'brus (5642m) in Russia, Mt Aconcagua (6,900m) in South America, Mt McKinley (6194m) in North America, Mt Vinson Massif (4847m ) in Antarctica, Mt Kilimanjaro (5895m) in Africa and Mount Cartensz Pyramid (4884m) in Oceania by 2011.

"The expedition aims to spread the message about the effects of climate change on mountainous region across the globe," said Basnet.

The expedition campaign named 'Everest Women Seven Summits Eco Action' has stressed on education for improvement of environment.
