Marc Ambinder: "Getting to conference" climate swindle strategy - Politics - The Atlantic
1. Be aware: the White House has a strategy here for getting climate change legislation passed. It's called "getting to conference." That is, the Senate needs to pass a bill this year. And then the House and Senate will (in theory) put in some sort of carbon pricing mechanism when the two chambers reconcile their bills. It's just much easier to get bills passed without forcing the Senate to try to pass a bill it does not have the votes to pass.
Obama's Disappointing Speech - Politics - The Atlantic
...as we speak, the oil is still pouring into the Gulf. What on earth were they thinking? The immediate crisis hasn't been dealt with; it is still getting worse.
Breaking News: Katie Couric Might Buy a Prius - Planet Gore - National Review Online
Why stop with a hybrid? I look forward to Couric’s personal plan to cut her energy use by 25 percent. i.e., public transportation to the CBS studio, setting her thermostat at 80 degrees, no more private jet travel, cutting down on the number of homes she owns, etc.

Any moron can buy a hybrid, if they have the money for the extra cost. If you really believe in what Freidman says, then act, don’t pretend.
