Melbourne: City marks coldest day in two years
Melbourne's maximum temperature will struggle to hit double digits today as the city shivers through its coldest day in two years.

At 1pm the mercury stood at a chilly 7.9 degrees in the city and it's expected to hover around that mark for the rest of the afternoon.

The last time the city's maximum temperature remained below 10 degrees was two years ago, while only three days have remained below that mark in the past decade.
