Triple-digit heat, extreme cold water today, Weather Service says - Sacramento News
Anyone thinking of taking a dip in nearby waterways should take heed because of the chill from snow melt, especially on behalf of children, NWS said.

River water temperatures remain in the mid-50s to lower 60s, a level that can mean quick onset of hypothermia and sudden and potentially fatal loss of body temperature. Warning signs include uncontrolled shivering, memory loss, disorientation, incoherence, slurred speech and apparent exhaustion. Swimmers should use life vests and be closely watched.
