Washington Post (blog) - Al Gore police report: Masseuse alleges 'sexual conduct'

Via the Oregonian, here is the police report stemming from a 2006 sex crime allegation against Al Gore. Police, for reasons not made public, investigated the case further last year. The National Enquirer reported on the accusation Wednesday.

An attorney representing the woman contacted police in late 2006, said Multnomah County District Attorney Michael Schrunk. Schrunk said the woman — who has not been identified — refused to be interviewed by detectives and did not want the investigation to proceed.

The woman, however, contacted police in January 2009 and gave a statement, saying Gore tried to have sex with her during an appointment at the upscale downtown Hotel Lucia, where Gore was reportedly registered as "Mr. Stone."...

The District Attorney’s Office has a copy of the reports. At this point, the Police Bureau does not consider this an ongoing investigation unless new evidence is received in this case. The Police Bureau is releasing the redacted reports concurrent with this news release. In 2007, the Police Bureau released the initial special report regarding the incident after it received a public records request by the Portland Tribune.

Here are two police reports and the transcription of an interview with a Portland masseuse who alleged that former Vice President Al Gore tried to sexually assault her in 2006 at the Hotel Lucia. Police found “insufficient evidence” to charge Gore with any crime.
