AFP: China's wars, rebellions driven by climate: study
PARIS — Two millennia of foreign invasions and internal wars in China were driven more by cooling climate than by feudalism, class struggle or bad government, a bold study released Wednesday argued.

Food shortages severe enough to spark civil turmoil or force hordes of starving nomads to swoop down from the Mongolian steppes were consistently linked to long periods of colder weather, the study found.

In contrast, the Central Kingdom's periods of stability and prosperity occurred during sustained warm spells, the researchers said.

The National Weather Service (SMN) announced a cold wave is covering a great part of the national territory and is expected to last until Friday. "A dramatic fall in temperature" was recorded during the past hours in Buenos Aires city and in several provincial localities.

The polar wave reached Center Argentina yesterday and is to cover the Northern area of the country today.

"It's welcoming, it's pristine, and everybody should come here!" said Obama. She also reinforced a crucial message. "It's important for the rest of the country to know these places are just as beautiful as they have always been." Obama also shared a possible solution. "Truly, the best thing your fellow Americans can do is come down here and spend some money."
