Atmospheric scientists reveal biology's role in climate - USATODAY.com
Growing plants play a steadying role in climate change, two studies suggest Monday.

In reports released by the journal Science, one team led by Christian Beer from Germany's Max Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry estimate the amount of photosynthesis worldwide undertaken by land plants, based on the amount of carbon dioxide that plants inhale from the air, roughly 123 billion tons every year.
