The Future [Climate Hoax] Scientist as Young Idealist - Green Blog - NYTimes.com
The Union of Concerned Scientists has opened an advertising campaign that aims to soften the image of climate scientists by portraying future researchers as children and teenagers with an insatiable curiosity about the natural world.

The nonprofit group’s ads will appear in print and online in The Los Angeles Times, The Chicago Tribune, The New York Times and other newspapers as well as in the Washington subway system.
...
Dr. Gavin A. Schmidt, a climate modeler at the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies in New York, who was not involved in the campaign, said he thought the ads would probably have little impact on public opinion but were a step in the right direction.

“I think it’s important to let people know that climate scientists aren’t all working in a bunker in Geneva. We’re in their communities,” Dr. Schmitt said. “We’re not part of some vegetarian socialist conspiracy.”

But, the Venezuelan leaders attacks on capitalism did not bother the leftist representatives at the summit meeting.

Curious for Life Ad Campaign | Union of Concerned [Junk] Scientists
For centuries science has made our world a better place. But recently, organized interests are attempting to turn science, especially climate science, into a political football. The Union of Concerned Scientists has launched a national advertising campaign to showcase the dedication and personal histories of scientists studying climate change. The campaign is a highly visible part of the organization's effort to shine a light on the scientific truth about human-caused global warming.
