How Chrysler Killed The Hemi Brand
Chrysler may be killing the "Hemi" branding on most new vehicles, but as this photo of the new 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee shows, that thing's still got a Hemi under the hood. This badge-killing's nothing more than Pelosi-is-watching green-washing.It could get too hot for crocs - 08/07/2010
A scientist who specialises in animal movement patterns says global warming could put the Top End crocodile population at risk.Flashback: When crocodiles roamed the Arctic
However, the fossil trees Shackleton’s team discovered grew around 250 million years ago, when Antarctica was barely closer to the equator than it is today. What’s more, the continent reached its current position roughly 100 million years ago, and an ever-growing list of fossil finds date from 100 to 40 million years ago. During this time, when dinosaurs roamed the almost subtropical forests of an ice-free Antarctic, conditions on the other side of the planet were even more remarkable: the Arctic Ocean was a gigantic freshwater lake infested with crocodile-like reptiles. Why Can't We Generate All Our Energy From Wind Power? - Planet Green

Sadly, as is often the case, reality is a bit more complex than that. To answer this question, we need to better understand how wind power works, and how a power grid works.
Kennebec Maine Journal covered a recent anti-wind power protest, which involved several arrests and someone chaining herself by the neck "to a truck carrying a turbine blade.". A sort of a Green Tea Party, it sounds like.
...
I wonder, had the protesters and their supporters thought seriously about climate change before they embarked on this protest? The lynx they are anxious to protect from wind power development need more than wilderness: they need a climate suitable for the ecosystem they live within.
