They see environmentalists as a bunch of pampered nannies who worship the self-important, self-righteous and hypocritical Al Gore seize this calamity as a “useful disaster.”
"These large windstorms are proving to be important to our understanding of how the Amazon works, in terms of carbon storage, biodiversity, and other factors," says global ecologist Gregory Asner of the Carnegie Institution for Science in Stanford, California. It unveils the next generation’s optimism and passion for tackling climate change, an urgency summed up by Abhinav Khanal from Dhaka, Bangladesh. “You may say that we can simply move somewhere else. However, the simple fact is, the whole country is vulnerable. There is nowhere to go…” [That doesn't sound very optimistic to me.]
