Will this eco island sink the green dream? | Mail Online
...thanks to an energy shortage on what claims to be the 'world's greenest island', use of toasters, electric kettles, fat fryers, washing machines and 'pretty much anything with a heating element' that could drain Eigg's dwindling electricity supply is strictly rationed until further notice.

And down by the pier at the island's southern end, bright red notices flutter in the wind, warning that power levels are critically low.

Reading more like a something from PR Week than a premier scientific journal, Jeff Tollefson's article in Nature describes how better PR is going to do the trick for the global warming movement.
At Climate Central, a non-profit organization based in Princeton, New Jersey, scientists work with journalists and writers to develop climate stories in partnership with media outlets. The idea came together in 2008, backed by high-profile scientists such as Jane Lubchenco, who oversees much of the nation's climate science as head the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
Republicans demagogue against market-oriented climate [swindle] measures they once supported « Climate Progress
If there is no climate bill this year, and presumably not for years to come, progressives will no doubt set up a circular firing squad — and there is certainly blame enough to go around
The Hockey Schtick: Physicist: Cooling Effect of CO2 is 100x Greater than Warming Effect
Charles Anderson PhD, a materials physicist, has a new post today which calculates the cooling effect of CO2 and other "greenhouse" gases to be 100 times greater than the heating effect.

"the cooling effect due to keeping incoming solar IR radiation away from the surface is about 100 times the re-heating effect proclaimed by greenhouse gas alarmists"
