Climate change, Pakistani floods, and causality – Telegraph Blogs
We report in today’s [printed] newspaper that the floods in Pakistan, wildfires in Russia and landslides in China are “proof” of global warming, according to the IPCC.

The story, with a less dramatic headline, is online here. The angle there is the more modest “global warming could be the cause” of the various disasters.

The first, paper, headline is, I would say, not technically accurate. Firstly, it’s not the case because the IPCC actually says no such thing: in the story itself, the words “proof” or “prove” are never used.
...
PS: I will award 10 “didn’t read the article” points to the first person to say “No-one denies the climate is changing. The climate has always changed. But humans aren’t causing it”, or words to that effect. We know that’s what you’re saying. But it is extremely likely that you are still wrong.
