[From the Skeptical "Science" alarmist]: Why I care about climate change
The second reason is my faith. I'm a Christian and find myself strongly challenged by passages in the Bible like Amos 5 and Matthew 25. I believe in a God who has a heart for the poor and expects Christians to feel the same way. And as I read the peer-reviewed science, I see more and more evidence that the poorest, most vulnerable countries will be (and currently are) those hardest hit by global warming. Drought will devastate low-latitude countries. Rising sea levels will create havoc on low lying countries like Bangladesh.C3: Global Warming Is Good: For Southwestern U.S., Medieval Warming Ended The Massive Floods of Cold Dark Ages
Extreme weather events are happening now. Thousands died in record heat waves in Pakistan and India in recent months. Over a thousand died in floods in Pakistan this week. I know its difficult to blame specific extreme weather events on climate change. But as the NOAA's Deke Arndt puts it, "Climate trains the boxer but weather throws the punches". We're training our climate to throw harder and harder punches at these defenceless countries. The irony is the countries hit hardest are those least equipped to adapt.
Much to the consternation of the habitual deceivers of the IPCC paleo-climate scientist community, new research keeps piling up confirming the global extent of the Medieval Warming, and its unprecedented, huge climate-change impact. Adding insult to injury to the warming alarmists, the Medieval Global Warming was beneficial by ending the severe weather events that had led to the massive floods during the colder periods.NSW government uses black balloons to represent CO2 | Australian Climate Madness
Because we all know that CO2 is black, right? Because it's carbon, right? And it's pollution, right? And it's causing catastrophic climate change, right? Wrong, wrong, wrong and wrong again. But that doesn't stop the moonbat NSW government wasting even more precious taxpayer money (that could be spent on e.g. fixing the state's woeful transport network or any one of a thousand more deserving causes) on no less than fifteen (count them, fifteen) adverts to blackmail the weary population to wear dirty, damp clothes covered in bird-shit (no warm washes, no tumble dryers allowed, line dry instead), suffer in cold houses in winter and hot ones in summer (turn down that evil heating and cooling), and of course, live entirely in semi-darkness with flickery, epilepsy-inducing CFLs (get rid of those tungsten filament bulbs right now) all to "save the planet". I am all in favour of reducing energy consumption, but this is just pure Green propaganda

These alarmists, besides having no idea of how to see different sides of an argument, also have no shame in attempting to exploit the fears of people who don't know what to make of their seemingly scientific pronouncements.
