Old Farmer's Almanac and NOAA Issue Contrasting Predictions for Winter 2010
(Sept. 8) -- Like a pair of formidable cloud banks colliding, two marquee weather predictors are brewing up a storm of contention with their contrasting winter forecasts.

According to the 2011 edition of "The Old Farmer's Almanac," which bills itself as "North America's oldest continuously published periodical," this coming winter will see a period of "global cooling" in which most of the nation will see colder-than-normal temperatures, The Associated Press reported.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, which was formed in 1870 has reached a different conclusion, however.
C3: Bureaucrats Gone Crazy: More Evidence Why The UN Should Be Eliminated From Any Further Climate Talks
The UN's continuing incompetence and corruption is not only legendary, it's never ending. The most recent, highly visible examples of UN fraud and ineptitude were the fiascoes that became known as Climategate and Copenhagen, which happened literally back-to-back.

Yet, despite the decades of documented serial failures and malfeasance, the UN secretly plots their resurgence, relying on the IPCC faux-science of global warming to push and implement their global governance agenda, across the political, economic, and cultural spaces.

Below are discussion points and objectives from UN bureaucrat papers and talks during a secretive meeting held in Austria during early September, 2010. They clearly indicate that UN bureaucrats are not humbled by their recent failures and not really concerned about world's climate/weather systems, per se. Their interests are more self-interested - more in line with the known seven deadly sins, versus any hypothetical seven degree change in global temperatures
Australia can meet it’s 2020 targets with just 35 nuclear power plants or 8000 solar ones! « JoNova
With all their subsidies, goodwill and fervent wishes, solar, wind, and geothermal produce just 3% of our energy needs. Fossil fuels produce a whopper 94%. And “energy” on these grand continental scales is measured in quadrillion BTUs which is known as “one quad”. Australians use about 5 quads / year, and to make that we pump out about 400 mT of carbon dioxide per year. (These kind of big-picture numbers are often hard to find, so I wanted to capture that to keep things in perspective.)
Another Senseless, Useless Thing That Has Got To Stop!
There’s no end to possible illumination regulation. Lights can do so many horrible things. If the light colour is wrong, they attract and endanger poor little night insects, or they can cause glare, and they consume energy, which leads to climate change. The regulation is only beginning. The Dark Ages are about to return.
