Here comes a bumper $3b crop
MINISTER for Primary Industries Steve Whan said today prospects for the multi-billion-dollar NSW winter crop were looking even brighter with the official forecast revised upwards following good rainfall and mild growing conditions.
“As the harvest of faba bean, barley and canola gets underway in the north of the State, yield prospects for all crops except chickpeas are the best they have been in more than a decade,” said Minister Whan.

Minister Whan said continued average to above average rainfall through late September into October had set up the State’s crop for the best harvest in 10 years.
