Progress: Eighteen years after declaring the global warming debate over, Gore now admits that it's not over

Al's Journal : Problems With The Media
For some time, the media has failed to appropriately cover the climate crisis.
...
Our media has a responsibility to educate the public on issues affecting the planet. Covering the climate crisis only as a political issue shields from public view the vital scientific and moral elements of the debate.
Flashback: They call this a consensus?
"Only an insignificant fraction of scientists deny the global warming crisis. The time for debate is over. The science is settled."

So said Al Gore ... in 1992. Amazingly, he made his claims despite much evidence of their falsity.

Al Gore did not explicitly say that "debate is not over", but rather that media did not report much the science aspect of the debate. I don't think that he will ever admit that "debate is not over."
